Title: NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
Post by: program not responding on January 13, 2009, 05:40:07 AM
Dear Forum,

When I open my stock trading platform: Think or Swim, the screen goes blank and a hardware error message comes up:

Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
***The System has Halted***

I also just reinstalled my flight simulator, and reinstalled the Nivida GForce Video Drivers.
Would this cause it?
Thanks!
Mike

Title: Hardware Malfunction. NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
Post by: Aquao on September 02, 2010, 02:55:24 PM
Dear Forum,
When I turn on my computer, I am getting this message:
***Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
***The system has halted***
I have a Compaq Desktop & my Operating System is Windows XP. 2 days ago I installed the CA Internet Security Suite (CAISS). Yesterday my computer was working although it was slow and it was freezing alot when I was browsing the Internet. Today, when I turned it on, I got a blue screen and the error message mentioned above. Could the above installation have caused my computer to crash? Can the problem be fixed? Please help. Thanx. Aquao. ???
