Title: Laser printers won't print
Post by: SuperDave on January 16, 2009, 05:40:29 PM
I have three printers connected to this computer. My default is a Panasonic KX-P4400 and suddenly when I tried to print to it today, I keep getting an error. It's a USB connection. I deleted the printer and re-installed it again with no luck. My other Panasonic KX-P7100 is a serial connection and I get the same error. I can print to my colour printer which is a Epson Stylus with a USB connection. I know that there is no a problem with the connection because as soon as I turn on the printer I can see it on my task bar. At first I thought it was a problem with spooling but yet I can still print to my colour printer. The only thing I installed recently was  ZoneAlarm firewall. Could that possibly be the problem?

What error do you receive when you try to print?

I don't get any errors on my printers but after about 35 secs. I get an error on the computer that the job failed to print. I'm going to hook up one of my printers to my laptop to see if I can get it to print there.

I am so stupid. I can't believe I did this. I was selecting the printer that was off each  time. They say so many brain cells die each day but I think they all died yesterday.  :-[ :-[ Consider this one solved. Thanks

Shame on you!   ;)

I, of course, NEVER make mistakes like this!  Never!   ::) ::) ::)

Always glad to see a fix.   :)
