hi all, had a good search , but am going around in circles ,
d ban - nuked my old p3 750 nec versa apitude,
lost my boot disk so went to nec site and down loaded there one win 98se
ran through the fdisk then formatted c now
with the bootdisk in when i start computer it
microsoft windows 98 startup menu
runs through process then says
A:/>
what do i type?

You booted from a floppy disk?
If this...
lost my boot disk
...means you have lost the Windows 98 install CD then there is nothing that you can type that will reinstall Windows.

From there you need to log the CDROM drive...type D: and hit Enter.
Then at the D: prompt type setup and hit Enter.
NOTE: Some bootdisks make the CDROM R: by default so it would be R: Enter then setup Enter.
To find which drive it is if it's not D or R use the dir command for each letter of the alphabet starting with D:
