I couldn't find a method of doing this and the SMF team indicated it wasn't possible with this version of SMF only in 2.x. So the only way it could be done is if someone took the time and hunted it down. I spent a lot of time trying to find it by scanning through the links on posts but below is the closest I could fine. It happened around that time, but where is what I can't seem to find. :(

Move the mouse over each of the links in either the board and/or thread. For example, in this thread move your mouse over Re: Half a million and you should see in your browser status bar the URL and what the .msg5xxxxx is corresponds to the number of the post.

I've modified the post with a congratulation as well as modified cicas custom title to mention he/she being the 500,000th poster. Unfortunately hasn't logged back on to the forums since the 7th so may go un-noticed. Finally, also modified the first thread to also contain this information.

If someone is up for the challenge sure why not. But I think that'd be a lot more difficult to locate then the 500,000th post since it happened so long ago. But if found I'll be happy to credit / reward the poster.

That's actually the .topic, not the .msg (message). So that's actually not the 10,000 or 100,000th message.

Break down of the URL (after visiting the page and viewing the link URL):

http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,10000.msg46589.html#msg46589

topic,10000 = The Topic, which is a new post or thread.
.msg46589.html = The Post (which is what we're looking for). So in this case it's actually the 46,589th post.
#msg46589 = The bookmark link to the message on the page.

Nice work Kpac. I've sent Xeratul a PM about this and also gave him the custom title of 100,000th poster. So are you manually browsing through each post to find these or are you using some method I'm unfamiliar with to locate them?
