Title: Microsoft internet extensions
Post by: darts44 on March 09, 2009, 03:37:17 AM
I try to download on my wife PC the program (and others) "Wise Disk Cleaner".
My wife PC is on Windows Vista Home Premium, toshiba satellite M300/00R Notebook. 32 -bit Operating system.
Her PC is connected to the internet with D-Link wireless, and the time i try to download the program , her PC was not connected with the "Network Magic".
So, i got the message:

Internet Explorer cannot download WDCSetup.exe from downloads pcworld.com.
An internal error occurred in the Microsoft Internet Extensions.

I have not idea how to fix it and where to go to know more about the problem.
regards, :'(

Update :
There was no way i could fix the problem so, i took the computer to a pro. to be re-formated and two hours later minus $ 150.00 from my wallet , the computer was back to work.
I learned two things here:
1#: Because computer don't come anymore with a CD, you should backup your new computer before to use it.
2#: i should have installed the program Acronis too and make another backup of the PC to a External Hard Drive.
So , the end of the story.

If you stayed here with us, we could have went through reformatting step by step and it wouldn't have cost you anything.

1#: Because computer don't come anymore with a CD, you should backup your new computer before to use it.

What do you mean here? All new computers come with an OS restore disc.

Not true...
Most nowadays have a hidden restore partition and no CD's...
