Title: Power Botton won't power up have to reset before it starts
Post by: mfw2255 on March 20, 2009, 07:01:12 PM
I was booting up and the power went out about a week ago same time as I was booting up. Now to get my computer booted up I got to reset the switch on the power supply a few times before it finally starts up. I have a desktop tower with windows vista home premium. 32 bit. A Phoenix Bios. I've tried taking the battery out of the motherboard to reset the bios but still same problem. Any help out there would be gratefully appreciated.

I would borrow a known good PSU of the same or greater wattage and swap it in there overnight...
If the condition goes away replace the PSU...
Do yourself a favor and don't buy a 25 dollar special.
