OMG

even after seeing all the issues with them and the various write-ups comdemning them- you all buy these bloody programs like Tuneup utilities and Advanced System Care and System mechanic.

Sometimes I wonder if we're talking to a brick wall.

CCleaner and chkdsk are enough for me.

Common sense is my main tool ;)
Other than that, CCleaner, JKDefrag, NTREGOPT, Bootvis.

I use what is suggested in the below link.

http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html

Well I use everything except for any of the AV's because my company demands that we use Symantec ::)

On my desktop at home and my wife's laptop we use what is in the link and Avast.

Giveawayoftheday offers some pretty crap software. I visit the site every day. Much of the software being given away are things we recommend users not getting.
Just read the reviews for the program.

If I was in your position, I would ignore those. They are absolutely necessary. They are all related to Internet Explorer. If it is working fine, don't have it do anything.

Now for the Carbon answer:

Uninstall the program!

I agree....the errors in pic 2 it is reporting wants it to compromise your security level on top of being false readings....if the report was in fact valid you would have no internet connection right now.

If Windows works, don't let a random program change your settings to 'make it work better'.

I agree with this. "If it's not broke don't try to fix it"
