Title: wireless connection drops until re-boot
Post by: danwalker on April 25, 2009, 01:12:14 AM
Hi,

Just recently my connection seems to drop on an infrequent basis for no apparent reason. I have been connected wirelessly for some time and now all of a sudden I am getting this dropping issue.

In network manager there are no visible wireless networks.

Once I re-boot, I connect immediately.

I noticed on another forum that a Microsoft technician had suggested disabling TCP IPv6, so I did this but the problem still occurs. I also read about disabling DNS caching, so I tried this but I don't know if this is only for XP since I was denied this when I tried to run the command.

I'm using Vista service pack 1
HP pavillion dv6830us
Wireless router: Nexxt Solutions NW230NXT.

Thanks
