My father and I built a computer for me and was meant for gaming. Anyway I downloaded a game Ether Saga and it said my display card was 0 mb or 0 something. I have a video card from AGI, and I wanna know what the heck is wrong with it.
-
Little to on with the infor u posted. Is it a AGp PCI or PCI Express card? But try these thing first. Down load the drivers for the video card, uninstall the card and reinstall it making sure it is seated correctly. Wrie back and let us know.
-
Or an ati card?
-
While you are listing the specs for the video card go ahead and list all system specs.
-
basically we have:
yeah, I like, have this computer, ad it don't work, says something about like 0Mb or something. anyway peace out.
-
Which makes one wonder, gently, where the lameness lies?
-
is the on board disabled?
-
Sheese......
-
God I thought I made stupid requests!!
-
Um first of all I'm 16 so I have no idea how to GET the specs. I'm sorry I'm not pros like you so excuse me for being a newbie at doing this. Maybe I should just go somewhere else.
-
I know it's an ATI card BTW.
EDIT: I tried playing a game and the settings said my "display card" (guessing graphics card) is 0mb (The thing you were trying to quote me on BC yet you fail.) and then when I click game start it has a bunch of greek letters. and wont load.
-
Not trying to be rude mate so calm down.. you think I did'nt get the same stuff when I started?? You can get your specs by going to 'control panel' then 'system and maintenance' and then 'system'. Depending on what OS you are using 'operating system e'g xp vista' were only joking mate were here to help but you have to take the rough with the smooth it's all about how you ask the question not what your asking!
-
It's not that we won't help you - nor do we fault you for not knowing everything. The title of your post is a bit off-putting. Let's see what we can come up with for you.
-
I told you to try something cant provive that it is what is causeing it. I see that the title got changed.
-
You have to understand matsudaroger that it's generally not a lame computer just someone who can't use it properly. That's why these guy's are here. Message back and we can all try to help you.

Video Drivers installed?
do you know the model of card? You can get this information via the "dxdiag" tool (start->Run, dxdiag <enter>) or via device manager (start->Run devmgmt.msc <enter>). if I had to conjecture at this point I would say it sounds like perhaps the drivers aren't properly installed
-
Would haveing both really cause and issue if you dont have one disabled?
-
I think so squall
-
Well I think I found the general information.
It's XP service pack 3 home edition 2002
intel core 2 quad cpu
Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz
2.0 Gh of ram
It's an AGI card, dad knows the model and all that it's reallly long but i think he downloaded drivers form the AGI website.
under disk drives (hope this is it >.>) it says
WDC WD800AAJS-00WA0
I have directX because when i try and re instal it it says it cant do anythign cause its already in there. However a few games i've tried said i don't have it.
-
ATI!!!!!!
AAATTTTTTTIIII!!!
Ask your dad what model
-
Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager...right click video controllers and select properties...
Post your results.
-
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.
It's a "other device"
manufacturer unknown
PCI bus 1 device 0 function 0
-
Well if its pci then its not going to be that great anyways. But you need to install drivers
-
says i need the software or CD. lets hope dad has it...
-
Even if it is a PCI video card, it should be all right.
-
dad did it while i was away at school. lets hope this works
-
hopefully. ;)
-
Yes it did! All games are loaded! Thanks so much! Still hate technology though XP
-
We're glad it's working for you. :)
-
Silly to blame XP for missing vid card drivers...
-
...or hating the technology that lets you play the games you like! ;)
When I was a kid in the single digits of age, there wasn't even "Pong"! :)
-
ha I agree.... when I was young to everything was only in 8 bits. You had the classics almost. ::)
-
To be fair my commodore plus 4.... not even 64 was genius. Just the three hours of waiting for the tape to load the game and then it crashing was a bit of a pain.
-
uhhhh... i stick with the floppies. i all but forgot about that at the moment.
