Title: canon lidi 35 scanner

does`any one know if the canon lidi 35 scanner draws power when left with the usb cable plugged in, there is no on/off switch

If you meant the LiDE 35, it looks like that's a "yes".

is there such a thing as switch you can purchase, link between the scanner & laptop with a switch

A switched hub might work with your scanner. Why don't you just pull the plug out?

just being lazy, just trying to be clever by having a link between acting as on/off switch
