Post by: maryhigginsrice on May 20, 2009, 04:19:35 PM
Hi everyone.  I brought a Iomega Prestige 250GB USB Harddrive.  I would like to install Windoew XP Home Edition on it.  I need the steps to accomplish this task.  Can it be done?  I was hoping someone could help me with this issue.  maryhigginsrice

Why do you want to put Windows on an external hard drive?

This is next to impossible to accomplish.

Microsoft has yet to offer a usb or firewire install. This is intentional. It would be way to easy to use the installation on multiple computers.

If you do figure out how to do it, let us know.
