Title: Nikon 6 Viewer.
Post by: galognu on May 28, 2009, 08:46:53 PM
Well, I've had good luck with this forum so far, so I'll try to see if my next problem can be solved.

I have Nikon 6 viewer when I download my pics.  It goes to a the nikon 6 app?, and I can see all my albums.  It also has a link to all the folders.  Suddenly it stoped working.  No albums are there, they are all in my "my pictures under my documents".  They wer there before, but now I cant access them through nikon viewer.

If I delete it and reinstall it, (I have the CD), I wonder if I'll erase all my pictures.  This is what has made me reluctant to try it.

Any suggestions.

thanks

What are your pictures worth to you ?

I know nothing of Nikon, but general experience suggests that most applications would not deliberately delete files from "My Pictures" etc. were you to un-install and then re-install the application.

BUT if the pictures are already deleted, and if you would prefer to get them back,
the first thing to do is to get them back.
The more things you do, like re-installing applications, the more empty disk space is overwritten - and your pictures are part of "empty".

If you wish to undelete/recover files, a lot of tools are available.
It is a good idea to download and install on a flash drive.
It is a bad idea to install on the drive that had your pictures.

Regards
Alan

Try Recuva to get the photos back...
