(using Windows XP)
Morning everyone!
According to the instructions, I insert the driver CD then go to Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor.
There I'm supposed to click on "Properties", and install the monitor there.
But the "Properties" button is not clickable in my case, and under Monitor Settings I can only select "Use hardware default setting".
Do you know how I can install this monitor?

Install it via Device Manager:
Right Click 'My Computer' > Manage > Device Manager
Expand the 'Monitors' section, right click the item that's in the monitors category and select 'Update Driver'.

Thank you for the response; there's nothing called "Monitor" but I found a yellow exclamation mark next to "Video Controller".
Is this what's causing the problem? Do you have some advice? Here's a screen capture:

Are you using onboard video or do you have a vid card installed ? ?
You are missing the drivers.
The PC should have shipped with a Drivers CD...
If not DLoad install and run Everest Home (Free) and post only the Computer Summary portion here...
We'll take a look.

Thank you patio! Everest Home told me the name of the video card so I could search for its drivers.
After installing them it also gave me the option to update the monitor driver so I could finally update it with the correct drivers from the monitor CD.
It's still not displaying the correct widescreen ratio but I think now it's the video card (VIA/S3G Unichrome Pro IGP 64MB) that cannot do the right widescreen resolution ratio?

Very possible...
The website will have the specs listed.
Isn't Everest neat ? ?
