Easy set up for folding@home
Go to http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Download , when download is finished
Click start , programmes , folding@home , move right , click folding@home
There should be a multi coloured icon by the clock , right click go to configure
When configure comes up, enter your computerhope name , enter team no 67290
It is important to get the team number right , please fill in nothing else
Click start , there should be a folding@home icon there , left click hold and drag to your screen
Click start , programmes , right click startup and open , drag folding@home
Icon from your screen to the startup page
Restart your pc , check the icon is by the clock , if it is , that’s it working
Try not to stop your PC with the tower button as you will loose the folding
the pc is doing at that time , but not what has been saved
Folding will work in the back ground , and do your pc no harm

Attached is my desktop screen shot where I can see F@H icon in my system tray. Please advise.

That doesn't make smp or gpu clients easier.
-
So what should I do next? Please advise.
@Quantos: Sorry, I modified my earlier post. Please see the changes.

I don't know, I thought I was giving harry a rough time. What client are you trying to use?
-
What client are you trying to use?
Windows XP/2003/Vista System tray client installer with viewer ---> I downloaded this one. What do you mean client?
-
That's actually exactly what I meant.
You aren't running the gpu or smp client, it's alot easier to get going - usually.
-
Where do you get stuck at?
-
Here, Quantos.
Click start , there should be a folding@home icon there , left click hold and drag to your screen
---> I can't see any icon of F@H there
---> I see the icon here Start > All Programs > Folding@home-86 > Foldin@home
---> What to do next?

After you downloaded the program, did you install it?

F@H provides guides you can follow step by step for installing and running the clients here http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Guide
Better than any directions we would give you, I'd say. Some of it can get tricky, so I'd follow them step by step, and post here again for any troubleshooting you need (or to let us know you got it working ;) )
If, like you said, you are using Windows XP/2003/Vista System tray client installer with viewer, you will use the Windows Uniprocessor (classic) Systray Version Guide found here http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinUNIGuide#ntoc1
Like Quantos said, since you aren't running the SMP or GPU clients, installation will be a lot easier, but the guide still helps ;)
Also, take note of this...
(Taken from F@H Guide)
"The Viewer included with the Systray client is not yet working properly and is a known bug. This is the Display option when you right click the FAH tray icon. The Pande Group is aware of these issues and is working to fix them. Sometimes the viewer works, sometimes not. And it always uses a lot of CPU power, and may slow down the folding client. In the mean time, avoid using the viewer. The viewer is not required to make the client run."
I installed that client at first, thinking "Hey, I want to see a nice little model of what I'm folding..." and, of course, I was winging it, so I had never read the guide. I opened up the viewer, and it worked, but I noticed that the amount of folding taking place (or however the viewer showed it) would jump down from a very large number to, say, 150, within seconds of me opening the viewer. Went to the F@H site to see if it was common, and then found out I wasn't supposed to look at it to begin with. *shrug* Client still works just fine, you just aren't supposed to use the viewer... which is why I grabbed that particular client to begin with. The mind boggles ::)
Keep us posted, geek hoodlum.

click start , remove all the links one by one to what has happened on your pc on the left side that are used all the time and it may come up
edit : everytime you do something new it puts an icon with its name there it could be the last one
