Title: cd rom not detected

when i click on my computer icon my cd rom does not show it only shows a and c drive what is wrong and how can i fix this problem ???

I had that same problem, check your cable or power cord going to it first, could be loose or have a short in them...then reboot your computer

i checked the cables and they are connected properly they have never been taken loose what else can i do

Go into the device manager, and see if it is detected there... Also, which operating system are you using? Have you scanned for viruses?

i am using windows 98se and it worked before i moved from auburn to burien.

Right click on my computer and select
properties>hardware>device manager and look for cdrom drives.

Look for a red  X   or a yellow   !

To viewers: (Not worms like a health thing. We're talking about computer worms)  ;)  And no, so has no worms, but those *censored* E-Mails just keep comin. I get like two a day myself! I hate spam...
