Title: COMPUTER IS RUNNING PAINFULLY SLOW AT STARTUP! HELP!!!

Hi,

My computer ebbs and flows at startup when processing tasks. It takes almost 30 mins to get the OS to stabilisie. Can anyone help me??? :o

i will assume this is XP or vista
press CTL+ALT+DEL
and click on the preformance tab
what does the processor useage say?
