Title: Disconnect-reconnect when switching between IE/Outlook Express
Post by: lectrocrew on October 31, 2009, 07:53:59 PM
Hi everybody!  :) I haven't been on here in a while. I just moved from Forida to N. Mississippi and havent got my PC going yet, so this question is about my friends PC with BellSouth Dial-Up connection.
(While connected with IE 8), everytime he accesses his Outlook Express Account to check email, the dial-up connection disconnects - then reconnects. What to do? Is more information needed?
TIA
Mike

Hi Lectro, OE has an option to hang up after sending and receiving and IE has an option to connect on demand, could it be a combination of those settings causing it?

I called my self checking the settings for those but may still not have it set right. Can you be more specific on which settings?
Thanks for the help!

In OE, go to Tools, Options, Connection.  Experiment with the settings there.
