Title: Keyboard problem......won't enter text

I'm running XP and IE7.  I downloaded Skype about a week ago, but didn't use it until today.  Everything worked normally after downloading Skype.  Today I plugged in the headset, and I could no longer enter text anywhere, including the address bar.  The mouse still functions normally.  I unplugged the headset, deleted cookies and temp files, rebooted, and still not able to enter text anywhere.  Suggestions?

Does it work in safe mode?
