Title: laptop infected this afternoon??
Post by: logan on December 05, 2009, 04:18:16 PM
this afternoon while watching a video this pop up appeared stating my computer was infected. It has a similar icon to that of my avg although different. Now it is giving me messages like, new important updates available update now. Another at the bottom of the screen says Trojan: W32/inject activity detected is a large family of malware, makes changes to windows registry and other running processes. It will not go away. I deleted the program (which installed itself) when I go to my AVG this ANTIVIR popup displays???

thanks harry 48 i cannot navigate to the page you suggested as a popup that Say's this page is infected keeps coming up and prompts me to choose a box so i have to hit the back arrow to avoid. last night i held down ctrl, shift and esc brought up windows task manager processes highlighted malicious processes and end processes it seemed to help although the infection is still on my system??  my free avg 9.0 did not catch it.   ???
