i have a toshiba laptop with vista windows.. i can download and save downloads, no prob... but if i try to open a program or game disk.. it says 'the system cannot find the enviroment option that was enterd', please help, any suggestions?
-
Did this just start? If so, what is different since things worked properly (new hw, sw, virus, error, did you delete something, etc)?
-
Certainly doesn't sound like a common error message...Post the entire message.

You changed the administrative settings? EXACTLY what did you do? And please stop posting in CAPS
-
Yeah, Zavalaf, we don't like being yelled at, don't do that.
-
o, im sorry, i didnt realize that, my wife just explained what that meant..sorry
-
i just changed the name, that was it.
-
You changed WHAT name?
-
the administrator name.. i also just went to "change enviroment variables" i right clicked 'my computer'-properties 'advanced tab', when i hit advanced tab it says, windows cannot find %windir%//systempropertiesadvanced.exe. make sure you type the name correctly, and then try again.... it says that to alot of things also.
-
How did you change the admin name? And why?
And obviously this is the cause of your problem - why didn't you tell us about it in your first post?
-
Tell us the "alot" of things part so we can determine what exactly you have done...
