Hey....
Well, I was just wondering if anyone wanted to play some LAN games with me over VPN.
"How is that possible?" you might ask. Well, I use a program called Hamachi. It's an excellent piece of software that allows me to create a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Then, with that VPN, I can get other people to join. And when I have a whole bunch of people in my VPN, we can play a whole bunch of LAN games.
(Basically, it's just getting people from all over the world into one single network, and play games over LAN. Even though we are all scattered across the world.)
Sounds like fun? I think it does.
Anyway, to join me and play some games with me, just download hamachi, then configure it (takes about 10 seconds) then join this network:
Network ID: VPN GAMERS
Password: qwerty
and there you go, you should see me in that list.
And then we can just play some LAN games.

how you be sure the program is safe and not virus riddled? i never heard of hippo files befoe... i would only trust a site i know.

I can vouch for the OP in saying file hippo is a reliable file download site (very similar to download.com)
and Hamachi is also a reliable VPN tool used by many gamers, it is common with piracy and creating large mesh networks giving them a LAN game over the internet similar to owning the legitimate copy playing online.

I've had hamachi installed too. Never could get the bloody thing to work though.

Some would also say that this is Spam in disguise. I may be getting suspicious in my old age but hay what's a guy to do. :P

lol this isn't spam.
btw, you're not downloading hamachi (since hamachi is a server), you're downloading LogMeIn which just happens to run the hamachi server for free. So that's why you can only use LogMeIn for non-commercial use.
Btw, FileHippo is a completely safe site, just like freewarefiles.com

Nah, don't worry about this guys, I just don't have the time or energy anymore for this.

Have you hear of tungle? That seems to work best for me.
