NO. Read carefully. Some calls are free. Some are not.
But if your friend also has IM, you don't need a landmine.

BTW, other IM providers have some kind of voice over internet thing.

Never tell anyone they don't need a landmine. You have no idea how useful they can be.

Info: http://messenger.yahoo.com/features/voice
Yes, PC-to-PC calls are free. PC calls to landlines are not free but cost much less than straight landline long distance calls. The cost varies by country. In the U.S. it's 1.9 cents/min. Info: http://voice.yahoo.jajah.com/home/phoneout.castle

I've seen and used the keypad in Yahoo Messenger but I can't find it now. Anyway, why does it matter? Do you not have a keypad on your keyboard? ::) Also, you would normally save a Contacts phone number in Yahoo Messenger the first time you call a new number and then that number need not need to be re-entered for later calls.

OK wen I og in to Yahoo im I can't find how to place a call??

::) On the top menu, click on Actions and then select Call Computer, or Call a Phone Number. Note: I'm using Yahoo IM 8.1.
