-
Did you previously put a password on this file?
-
no. ihave just put it on the computer and it has worked straight away previously

i think i have found the problem. I am trying to save to iomega external hard drive and that is what it won't let me save to. it says i don't have permission.????? help??? is the harddrive faulty??? i only got it a couple of days ago??? ihaven't been able to save anything on it since connecting it? have just tried saving to computers own hard drive and that is ok
-
Have you tried copying the file from the computer harddrive to the external?
-
yes just tried that and it says i don't have permission to save it :'(
-
Is it just office docs or can you not save any kind of files to the external?
-
just tried to save web page and got the same thing.thanks for taking the time to try and help

Sounds like a permissions issue. Try right clicking on the Iomega in My Computer and clicking on properties. I think there should be a Security tab to set read/write access.

So, are you saying you can't save a Word file directly to the iomega external hard drive but you can copy the Word to the iomega external hard drive once you've saved it to your internal hard drive?
