Title: ALPS Touchpad driver question

Is it possible for an ALPS Touchpad to work with a Synaptics driver rather than the pre-loaded ALPS driver? Synaptics has a lot better features than ALPS does, and I was considering replacing the ALPS driver with the Synaptics driver...
