Title: can not choose show hidden files and folders
Post by: k_mohsen on January 22, 2010, 12:48:20 PM
Hello
Recently a virus implicates and slows my PC (kmj.exe). Like every time the option, "show hidden files and folders", in "folder option" disable. I update my antivirus (Nod32) and clear it from my system. Now every thing is correct but stile can not choose "show hidden …"!? How can I solve this problem?

Thanks

It appears as if you may have not pasted your full HijackThis log into this tool. You should be copying the complete log file from the beginning "Log of" line to the ending "End of file" line. In the log file try pressing "Ctrl + A" to select all text and then copy and paste that text into this tool. Having an incomplete log may mean that not all processes and potential threats will be listed.

please post a new log

Hello k_moshen and welcome to Computer Hope Forum. My name is Superdave but you can just call me SD. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer. I am working under the guidance of one of the specialist of this forum so it may take a bit longer to process your logs.

1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans while I am helping you.
5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

SUPERAntiSpyware

Download SuperAntispyware Free Edition (SAS) (http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html)

* Click Next to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
* After the scan is complete a summary box will appear. Click OK

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM)

If you already have Malwarebytes be sure to check for updates before scanning!

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe) and save it to your desktop. Alternate download link (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe)

•Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

•Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/database/mbam-rules.exe) and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.

•If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
•Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.

•When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

•Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

•When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Save it to a convenient location like the Desktop.

•The log is also automatically saved and can be viewed later by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Copy and Paste the contents of the report in your reply.

•Exit MBAM.
.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

Open HijackThis and select Do a system scan only

Place a check mark next to the following entries: (if there)

O23 - Service: Cyberlink RichVideo Service(CRVS) (RichVideo) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Cyberlink\Shared files\RichVideo.exe (file missing)

Important: Close all open windows except for HijackThis and then click Fix checked.

Once completed, exit HijackThis.

Please attach or copy and paste the SAS and MBAM logs.
