Hi,I'm new to this group,and by the looks of it...I finally found a tech group where I could get some help(I hope)lol
I bought an E-Machine Windows 7,and I really like it compared to Windows XP......but there are a few things that I can't quite understand.This thing pops up out of the blue,and scanned for viruses(it's not the Norton that came with the computer)which,btw,I should have stuck with AVG like I've always had...now this Norton expires in like 5 days,and I don't think it's finding viruses that this other thing is finding,that came with the computer.It THINK its called
Windows Defender and I think its the E-Machine Virus/TroJAN/adaware/etc..thats built-in the computer,and when it runs on its own,it shows like a total of 40 unwanted things on my computer,and ALL it tells me to do is run my virus program to remove that stuff ...but when I do,it shows NO problems.This is wierd..I mean,I even scan with Malaware bytes,and Spybot Search & Destroy,and can't find the viruses this thing finds.
Does anyone know what I am referring to?If so please help me w/ this....cuz its REALLY worrying me.I don't want to ruin my new computer b/c of not removing these viruses and trojans that I can't find w/ Norton or the others.

I DID download Malawarebytes,and it found 29 things,but nothing high risk.It found stuff like "adware shopper sites",but no virus' or trojans...but the Windows Defender installed in this new Windowqs 7 says I have viruses big time.I just bought this computer like 2 months ago,barely.
I had probs w/ Norton before,and it came bundled w/ this computer and kept popping up saying "INSTALL ME"....so the AVG that I had already installed(and never had problems with)...well,I uninstalled it,and went with Norton thinking maybe its better now.
But it DOES seem like my computer has slowed down alot more and then between that and seeing that big virus thingy pop up,and that siren go off leads me to believe that Norton isn't picking it up.
I tried that link above...thanks for that,but I still couldn't figure out what to do.
Should I change back to AVG?

I don't see anything to indicate a malware issue. How is the computer running now?
