e-mails to windows

i was wondering if i get a mac is it possible to e-mail my friends that have window pc's? and if i sent them a document i a type of mac program is it possible for the windows person to view it?

Okay. E-mail has to do with internet service providers.  As long as they have internet access, you should be able to email them.  If your document is in Microsoft Word or another program that windows will run, it should work. If not, it might be gibberish on the other end.

If it is a microsoft product like Word, PP, or excel...it should be okay...

You will have no problems sending them an email... :-/
