Links not working on alot of websites.

Alot of links i click on my computer are doing nothing when i click them. I do not know what the problem is. I have even tried to click internet options in tools but yet nothing responds. when i try to download flash player or java the download doesnt start, nothing responds and there is no yellow bar at the top asking me to allow it to run. I dont know what the problem is please help.

You need to be more specific, meaning give more information on your problem. When you do have the right questions, you will get better answers.
1. Do you have a good internet connection,(broadband preferred)
2. Do you have a firewall and antivirus installed and running, if so are there settings blocking some programs from connecting to the internet.
3. What browser are you using, do you have "pop blockers" activated.

Check all the above, from there we can help more
