    Many random bluescreens at startup
    « on: February 23, 2010, 09:47:07 AM »
As the title says I got many.. MANY random bluescreens and help would be greatly appreciated. Most of them pop up after booting up my computer, sometimes they pop up after 5 minutes sometimes after 20 minutes if I'm watching videos on youtube or anything like that. I get them always after booting up and most of the time more than one. Today I got 3 bluescreen, sometimes it also happens that after I reboot the screen stays black but the computer is on. I can't think of anything that may have caused this problem.(after some bluescreens I'm able to do things on my computer)

I started writing them on a piece of paper and this is what I got:
    0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x82C3499C, 0xA378D9D1, 0x00000000)

    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    0x0000001A (0x00041287, 0x00054141, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

    BAD_POOL_HEADER

    0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x82AFE382, 0x98F13C18, 0x00000000)

    0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x82C3499C, 0xA378D9D1, 0x00000000)

    0,0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

    0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x82C118A8, 0x8D389944, 0x00000000)

    0x00000001A (0x00005003, 0xC08020000, 0x00003A8F, 0x03A9150E)
I will try to update this if you want me to.

Some information about my computer (HP-Pavilion):
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1.7600 Build 7600 (illegal version :-[)
    AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core Processor 2.20GHz
    3.00 GB RAM
    32-bit Operating System
    NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
I have no idea what else you need to know, please ask me and I will search for it.

Please help me with this because having to reboot 3 times before I'm able to do stuff on my computer is VERY annoying also I don't know if I posted this in the right section if not tell me.

    Thank you very much, Vincent

Multiple and varied blue screen errors often point to a bad mobo. You can run diagnostics on all of your hardware for starters, but I've seen this a few times and each time the motherboard needed to be replaced.

Just to add to Allan's post above another reason i have seen this condition is with a flakey PSU as well...

To test this borrow a known good 1 of the same or greater wattage and swap it in there...
You will know soon enough if this is the cause.

To add to Allan's (bad motherboard) and Patio's (bad power supply) suggestions, RAM can also be a factor as well.

Start with that.  Download Memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/).  Burn the resulting ISO to a CD, boot your computer from said CD, and let it run.  If there's any red on the bottom of the screen, then there's bad RAM involved.  If not after a pass or two, then follow Patio's instructions.  If it's still flaking out after a known good (and sufficient) power supply is used, then go with Allan's suggestion and get your motherboard replaced.

Part of the problem is most people don't generally deal with computer problems. So for most they think that close enough is good enough.
