    SATAII and SATA drivers

    hi i baught a computer 6 years ago just when the SATA came out now today there is SATAII now yesturday i braught a new hardrive with a SATA port on it so i baught the cables and pluged it in i enables the SATA driver on my computer and when i turn it on with the hard drive fully plugged in the sata driver says that it could not boot with a code 10 on the side of it but when its not plugged in the driver boots up normaly any ideas

    (i spent £65 on a new hard drive 1tb and i probably wornt be able to return it)

    You need to install the SATA drivers for that machine...they can be found at the motherboard manuf. website...unless you still have the Driver CD in which case they will be on there.

      two problems
      1. i dont have the cd (it didnt come with one)
      2. the company who made the whole computer (including mother board) have now gone bankrupt
      the company was IQON technologys
      so basicly am i screwed?

      DLoad install and run Everest Home...
