My dock (my only viable source of charging my iPod) causes some weird glitches with YouTube. When the dock is not turned on (but plugged it) the iPod still goes to dock-mode and will not play out of the internal speakers. If it is turned on, the power light will flash for 5-10 seconds and if a YouTube video is open, it will close, if not, it will open the first song in my now playing list (a very unwanted result). After the video automatically closes, if I try to re-open it, the video will be in portrait-mode (as opposed to landscape) and will not actually show the video, only the audio plays.
Every once and a while, I will be able to trick my iPod into thinking it is unplugged by turning on the dock and unplugging it and repeating a few times and that allows it to play internally and in landscape-mode.
Is there anything I can do to fix this/these problem(s)?
