Is Bluetooth fast enough for printing?

I have a printer that can use Bluetooth or WiFi printing, and have been leaning toward Bluetooth because of the shorter range I need. My question is if Bluetooth is fast enough for all kinds of printing, including photos.

I am only going with Bluetooth for security reasons, as it covers a shorter area.

Thanks for  the reply. As long as Bluetooth is fast enough for printing photos, I might give it a try.
