Drag & Drop is the main way I open files. It's a shame my Zip Program (PowerArchiver) only supports it for adding files to an opened archive.
Actually, this became a habit through necessity- Visual Basic 6 only allows me to add a single file to a project at once, whereas I can drag and drop a set of files to add them to the project simultaneously.
Also, you don't need to have the windows open- you can drag over top of their taskbar icons, hover for a second or two, and then the window is restored automatically (as if you clicked it) and then you can continue to drag into the window. Just don't try to drop on the taskbar.
The main reason I use Drag and drop to open files (at least, files/projects that aren't in my recent lists) is usually because I have the folder window open already and using the file->Open screen would entail navigating there again.
Why have you turn into a 'Scotty' & after me to shoo me away? ;Beware, I have a BIG STICK in my hand!
riiiight...
