    How do I enable workstation service on windows 7 pro. Im trying to change my workgroup to my home one but it says I have to enable workstation service. I have never seen this before so I have no idea how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

        Im not looking to enable "windows features"  im looking to enable the workstation service because I am unable to change my work group or domain name.

          Well after going to  Services I went to start the workstation service and it gave me the error  "Windows could not start the workstation service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start" sooo I ran    sfc/scannow and its currently running.. Ill let you know what happens.

            it pretty much said. I have errors and it cant fix them lol. Ima go ahead and backup to my 2nd drive wipe and reinstall ; / this time ill make a restore point right after the install lol.... :(

            Forget a restore point. Start using disc imaging software. If you don't want to purchase the best (Acronis True Image) there are plenty of free alternatives.
