Same problem here.  I am running Internet Explorer 6.0 updated version SP2.  Internet provider is saber.net , dial up . I read"MSN Home can't find Server or DNS Error"
Outlcok Express doesn't connect either, dial up connection is running.

Thanks for any helpful input.

You need to configure your computer for Internet access. Obtain these instructions from the ISP, as they differ per provider.

 ???
I corrected all TCP/IP settings.  found AOD folder under adv. settings "Wins", containing file, Trainer.PPK. Moved folder and file in recycling bin, still no connection to server. ;D

Perhaps the server is down. Contact the administrator.

Open a dos prompt, type ping www.computerhope.com
and hit enter to make sure you're connected.

I'm not sure what you mean by this?
Did you sit there and watch an unmoving ping screen for an hour?  :D
Did your ping command return packets like this?

That means that you have a connection with the Internet and that your DNS server is functioning correctly.

Scan for viruses, spyware and trojan horses. Reset all Internet connection settings to default.

      Run McAfee virus scan-negative
Don't know how to check for worms andTrojan Horses.
Have reset default settings for Internet Explorer.
When my problem started I run virus check.  I had 2 potentially unwanted prgrs in  the system.
"Pup name Adware -Websearch C:\system volume information\restore...
      McAfee deleted these files.
thanks for all the precious help.      :)

I also wrote down Adware Websearch Dialer-112.
I don't know if this is relevant.
      Sometimes I ge the message:
Outlock Express could not bestarted another instance is still running on your computer"
In this case I hit 'end program 'and a window appears asking if Iwant to abort running download.  I hit yes and been able to shut down computer.  On
Sabernet window , no bytes are received in those instants.
