networking xp and window 7 computers
« on: June 20, 2010, 08:16:13 PM »
I have a network of three XP pro service pack 3 computers working under a workgroup name MSHOME.  Two of them are hard wired to the network and one is wireless. I recently purchased a new Asus laptop running Windows 7 pro 64 bit version. I am trying to share file with the other computers on the network with the workgroup MSHOME. I get the internet ok on the new laptop but I do not know how to get it to share files with the other computers. I don’t see a way to name a workgroup. There is something called homegroups but I don’t know what they are. Can anyone help to understand how to do what I want to do above? Thanks
