Sorry to be a bother here about this issue I'm having. I have set up network once with no issues prior to this, but this has got me wondering if my settings or whatever are correct.
About a month ago I had an issue with IE8 on my main computer. I fixed my problem but in the course of that action I lost all networking connections. I did my homework and found what I needed to connect all my computers via the internet and at the point of the IE8 issue all was working fine. Now for whatever reason I cannot set up a network. I have XP Home on all computers. I am using HughesNet Satellite broadband and everything is hardwired thru a Netgear Wireless G router.
Following instructions on what needs to be done is not a problem, but I am not a wizard in regards to LAN settings and how I should set up IE8 and cookies and such things.
Can I get a little help in setting things correctly?
I did notice when I was going thru some network set up webpages it spoke spoke about LAN settings. In
My Computer, when I click on Network Connections, right next to Local Area Connects is the number 25 in parenthesis. Can this be the problem?
If there is any more info you need just let me know.
Thanks for the help.
