hard disk prtition problem

hi
my new hard disk is contain 4 prtition's. the computer can read c: and d: but not e: or f:
when i open My Computer icon i can see e: and f: but i cannot open them and i cannot format them or view the properties of the prtition. during win98 or even winxp
even from Dos mode i cannot format or dir both of them.
But: when i connect my hard disk to any other computer as Slave disk. then i can open All the partitions and use all as normal.
my computer operating system is win98 and winxp Pentium4. 256 ddram theres no data cable problem. no power cable problem.
honestly: i trayed to do everything to can solve this problem but i cant and it drive me crazy.

Are these partitions NTFS?
