Spammer on the loose or just trying to get attention eh?

I really do find this quite random.

Doesn't this belong in the "off topic" section?

And seriously?? Helping your grandma set up a Computerhelp account for a help on a computer forum? O_O

Makes no sense...

Somethings fishy on CH...

She has refered to her 'membership' here as an 'account', it's not that hard to understand, surely!!

I will acknowledge that interpretation, after re-reading his/her posts.  But, such vague wording does require some guesswork in interpreting the meaning.  If they were referring to membership, or ... OK ... an "account", in this forum, they should at least mention the forum instead of just saying an "account".   ::)

It's a simple matter to simply add a few extra words to clearly state the message.

Agreed, it's not always best to guess or assume, especially on this forum, maybe english isn't their first language, i don't know to be honest. But you must admit that most often people don't even put whether they have a latop or desktop, or what OS they have when asking for help. They need help but do not even read the 'how to post' instructions. The usual thing seems to be 'My computer doesn't work, it goes to a blue screen, please help'. A few extra words by alot of people wouldn't go amiss. I totally agree.  :)

As I read the OP, gaarazgurl, who has a few posts already, (and one thanked), has opened a membership for her grandmother, under the name of hodge, and probably bookmarked it for her, so when her grandmother does have a problem she knows where to go for help.

And, yeah, it probably could have been posted in the Other section, but no big deal.
