How do you mean, "it's asking you"?
Is it asking you a question, such as "enter the location of command.com"? or
does it look like this:

In the latter case, in the worst case, the windows installation may be hooped. "win" should, as Patio noted, start windows. If it gives you "bad command or filename" (which loosely translates to "not found"), that means that either win.com is missing, or, the PATH is not properly set.
in the latter case, try "C:\Windows\win" (without the quotes) and see if that gets it started.
also give the dir command Patio noted a try, see what comes up.

To find out at the C prompt type in dir /p and hit Enter...spacebarr scrolls down 1 at a time...
/p goes per page, regardless of the key you press. I believe you may be thinking of trusty MORE, which added the ability to go through the piped text a single character at a time starting with either W2K or XP; however the "scroll a single line" key was enter, not space
