Emachine Laptop to Belkin Wireless G Router connection issues
« on: October 09, 2010, 06:00:47 AM »
Hi - Hope someone can help me with my wireless network connection issue.

My Laptop is an eMachines E525 running Windows 7.
I have a Belkin Wireless G router that I have previously connected to successfully, but my wireless connection has broken and I can't reconnect.

The router is working OK as I can still connect using my Games console and a friend can connect via wireless using his laptop.
But the Belkin 54G doesn't show up as an available wireless network on my laptop any more.

I've tried turning off the Windows 7 firewall and removing Avast anti-virus.
I've reset the Belkin access point / router.
But still my laptop can't 'see' this wireless network, even when my laptop is right next to the router - but it can 'see' a neighbours network.

I'm currently connecting to the Belkin using an ethernet cable but I really need to get my wireless connection fixed so that I can do my homework in my bedroom.

If there is more information needed please let me know. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
