Nvidia 9500GT vs Nvidia GT240
« on: November 06, 2010, 12:17:24 AM »
Nvidia 9500GT runs on a 300W. PSU. That's the graphics card in my pc right now.

Although I'm not really needing new graphics card at the moment I'm just curious to look at it as people have said GT240 is better than 9500GT. However, on official Nvidia.com site, it says GT240 needs minimum recommended 300W PSU while it consumes 69 W max

but the 9500GT consumes 50 W max and needs minimum recommended 350W PSU.

Is this an typographical error on NVIDA's website??? I thought you'd want higher watt psu for card of  higher watt consumption (assuming +12V rails already provide enough amps and you have a good brand)

if you want graphic card with less power
you should try the green edition from Nvidia
personally i used Nvidia GTS 250 Green Edition
the performance still good and used less power from PSU
