Need an uncomplicated Music Program
« on: November 29, 2010, 09:23:32 AM »
I don't know if it is me or not, but I am finding Windows Media to be not as user friendly as it had been prior to its "improvements".  I would like a free music program that does pretty much the basics of organizing albums, and will rip and burn without going through a lot of drop down menus to find what you want, and does it in language you can understand.  I finally got Windows Media to rip an album but it didn't give me a choice as to which songs I wanted ripped and then when I tried to get it to burn that album to a CD, it kept telling me to put in a CD which I did, about 10 times before I finally gave up.
                Thanks in advance

An old favorite is Winamp. You can make it as cool or plain as you want.
As for me, I like it plain.

Thank you.  I downloaded Winamp and will now try and figure out how it all works.
