Blue Screen
« on: December 27, 2010, 12:18:20 PM »
My daughter has a Gateway Notebook and today when she turned it on to boot it up a blue screen appeared.  The laptop restarted and it seemed to solved the problem itself, trouble after it had been on for about 1/2 hour the blue screen appeared again out of nowhere it went through the whol restart again, new this seem to be a constant occurence.  Can anyone help me out be telling me how to fix this problem and why it started to happen in the first place.

Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

If you got blue screen error then maximum chance is that your computer has registry problems. I hope these steps can help you:
Step 1 - Download a blue screen error repair tool (available free on the site) and install it.
Step 2 - Click the Repair All Button. It will scan your Notebook.
