WiFi

I'm running OS X 10.5.8 on my Macbook. I have little or no knowledge of the ins and outs of WiFi, but I love it to death. I live in a condo apartment about 100 feet from our library where the network  base station is located. For the heck of it I tried to connect to the Internet from my apartment and was stunned when Google appeared on cue ready to go. For several minutes I surfed the web before I lost it all. In the end I discovered that sporadically, I was on and off.

This is my question: Is there anything I can install on my machine that will boost  receptivity?

We're not going to help you pirate a signal. Thread locked.
