I was going to start useing Skype for my Work and help get the word out.

Then I saw somethings on the net about how you can never close your Skype account and things like this.

I am new to this and I wanted to know if you can never get rid of your Skype account and if there is something other then Skype I sould be looking into?

And wen you have a Skype account can you lookup other members on Skype?
Or how do you find people

Skype is a great program and very secure so there are no reasons to why you should need to delete the account, but if you really wanted to you can e-mail skype and im sure they will delete it if requested.

And yes, you can find other people who have skype through the client if you know either their:
E-mail / Phone Number / Full Name / Skype name

You cant simply search for anyone who lives in a certain place. You need to know either the persons: E-mail / Phone Number / Full Name or Skype name
