laptop won't connect to home wifi
    « on: January 04, 2011, 04:48:52 PM »
For some reason i cannot get my laptop to connect to my wifi.  My wifi works fine at other places so the problem is not that.  Also, my friends computers can connect and my ipod touch as well.  It says its connected but says its unidentified and no web pages will load.  works when i connect on an ethernet cord. any ideas?

Is this a new problem or has it never connected? And what do you mean "it says it's connected"? WHAT says it's connected?

its new being that its a fairly new router. I've been able to use my wifi for about two years but i've never been able to connect to this one. my router shows up in my wireless networks and i can click on it, put in my password, and my computer says its connected.  but then it says its connected to an unidentified network
