it was hosted by Virgin media who no longer do webhosting. have had no luck with them. !
If they once provided fee-based hosting, they may no longer be doing that, but they are still in business as an ISP, right? And, clearly, the website is still alive and the URL indicates it being hosted by Virgin media. However, it appears to have been hosted under a free hosting option, as indicated by the word "
freespace" in the URL. It's not uncommon for ISPs to provide some free disk space to their clients for hosting a personal website.
So, again, the website is still alive and, the way I see it, you no other choice but to work with Virgin media to get this resolved. Surely, someone there in tech support is aware of this free web space that is, or formerly was, available to their customers for a personal website.
