Slow computer
« on: August 17, 2005, 12:37:43 PM »
My computer is running very slow. In my Task Manager, under my processes, SPOOLSV.EXE is taking up 99%. I turn it off, but it keeps coming back on.
What is it and how can I turn it off permanently or delete the file totally?
Thanks >:(

This is either a Windows application for managing your print jobs, or a virus that runs under the same name. Have you done a scan, Dee?
There’s no limit to what you can achieve if you don’t mind who gets the credit.

Yes, ran all scans, still keeps popping up, even if I end the process, it will restart all by itself 5 - 10 minutes later.

    What scanners are used?

    What are your system specifications?

I ran my Norton and Spy Doctor. I am almost sure it is a printer spooler, is there any way to block it?
My son in law added a wireless printer to this computer (laptop) and I have been having printer problems since he did it
    Thanks again
