I have some AVI files I'm trying to play on my computer. I've tried VLC, Real Player, Windows Media Player, Etc. and none of them  seem to work. I get a "general error occured", or something to that effect. What should I do ?

An example of a codec is the K-Lite Codec pack with automatically brings support to various types of video file formats.
